From Châteauneuf whites for special occasions to easygoing Côtes du Rhônes, these new reviews have you covered to enjoy what’s left of the season.
Today’s selection of new releases exemplifies the Southern Rhône at its best, covering the region’s diversity of both red and white offerings, with ample value to boot. The 2017s are fruit-filled and forward in style, light on structure and ideal for drinking now and in the near-term. The 2016s are another matter altogether, brimming with dark fruit and with ample grip; it’s the best vintage in recent memory for the south. A couple of early-release 2018 whites show how fresh and charming the latest vintage is shaping up to be.
